Study Visits (SV) are the exchange between individual local ELSA groups on national or international level. There are generally three forms of study visits:
Bilateral SV: Two local groups visit each other.
Multilateral SV: More than two local groups visit each other.
Unilateral SV: A local group visits another local group, but doesn't get a revisit.
Study visits are supposed to implement the ELSA vision "A just world in which there is respect for human dignity and cultural diversity" through fostering mutual exchange as well as providing cross cultural and -social experience. Besides that, a study visit shall include an academic program, offering an inside view in a foreign legal system to the visiting group. Study Visits are one of the core activities of ELSA because they give local ELSA members the opportunity to experience and live the internationality of the whole network.
